The Gulfstream G100, first known as Astra SPX, is a twin-engine business jet and was originally produced in Israel and now in America. The Astra evolved from the Rockwell Jet Commander and the IAI (Israeli Aircraft Industry) jet.
In March, 1985, the first Astra was flown. Other variants of the Astra were tested and flown in the following years. The third model, the Astra SPX, was flown in August of 1994. IAI now builds the G100s frames in Israel and they are sent to the United States for interior assembly.
In 2002, Gulfstream created an improved version of the G100 called the G150. This new version was finished in 2005.
